Dust on your wooden floor

It looks like fine dust but when you sweep it up it comes back the next day or a couple of days later.

If you roll the dust between your fingers it often feels a strange shape in fact it is like a very small oval biscuit of wood that was bitten out of your homes timber.

If you look directly above the dust on the floor you will see the small holes when it has come from.
The dust is actually the waste product of the wood worm larvae that is munching ever forward through the timber in your home. At this stage we can’t name what type of woodworm they are until we understand what timber they are eating and take a microscope to examine the woody poo.

You probably don’t want to know their biological name either and would rather just say goodbye to them as soon as possible.

No problem, just call us or email info@casteloconstruction.com and we will come and take a look.

Give you a firm price to treat the timbers and set a date to do the work. It’s as simple as that.
