These softwood doors were fitted and treated with Bondex six months ago.

There are a few problems common with softwood depicted in these photos:

The wood soaks up moisture from the atmosphere and rain. It swells, twists, crack and warps when it dries back out. Loosening joints and making the doors hard to open as the stick in their frames. This cycle is repeated each year.

We recommend either hardwood or aluminium for external doors.
